“My name is Roy McCurdy, and throughout my career as a professional drummer I’ve had the privilege of working with many legendary artists, including Sarah Vaughan, Cannonball Adderley, Benny Golson, Art Farmer, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, and countless others.

I first met Sacha Boutros when I was performing with Nancy Wilson, and later had the opportunity to work with her alongside Llew Matthews and John B. Williams — the rhythm section for Nancy Wilson. The three of us enjoyed working with Sacha so much that we continued to perform with her on several occasions over the years.

Sacha is a truly fantastic vocalist — remarkably versatile, able to sing in many styles and in multiple languages, and always with deep artistry and authenticity. She is not only a wonderful jazz singer, but one of the most gifted vocalists I’ve ever worked with.
